If you have to make redundancies, we can help at this stressful time. Our experienced advisers can make sure your employees are supported through the process.

Partnership Action for Continuing Employment (PACE) is the Scottish Government’s initiative to help individuals and employers during redundancy situations.

PACE supports businesses of any size, no matter how many employees are involved. It’s free of charge, and can help take away some of the strain of dealing with redundancy.

Support from across the public sector

Led by local PACE teams, your staff will get support from partners across the public sector including SDS, JobCentre Plus, local authorities, Citizen’s Advice, colleges and training providers.

Together with our partners we understand the local labour market and can provide a wealth of experience to help your employees move on.

The PACE approach: At a glance

  1. Our local PACE advisers visit your business, talk to your employees and understand their needs.
  2. We’ll bring in the right partners from across the public sector and provide free, impartial advice.
  3. We’ll help your staff start the process of finding a new job by supporting them with CVs, applications, interviews and training opportunities.
  4. We can also support them to claim state benefits, understand their tax calculation and manage their money.

What employers say

"I would like to thank the PACE team for all their hard work, flexibility and commitment. Feedback from all of the Babcock employees involved was excellent. We could not have delivered this project without their guidance and support."
Paul Motion, Doosan Babcock
